I've been reading excerpts from Cassidy Hutchinson's memoir, including her explanation for Trump's initial hostility toward masks for protection against Covid. This was due to the fact that Trump's thick, metallic-orange face makeup tended to smear onto his masks.

This reminded me of something I heard from a Lennon insider. In private, John would refer to Mintz -- who minces about in chrome-yellow hair and metallic-orange makeup -- as "Pancake-Face."

Or how about May Pang's reaction when John presented her with a used car on her birthday in LA? She was enthralled to have her first car; but also implied in the gift was: "No more Elliot Mintz!"

Hmmm, did Paul have his own "Elliot Mintz?"

I don't think John ever "had" Elliot Mintz, per se. Yes, he acquiesced to an interview with Mintz on the Santa Monica beach, and used Mintz as a chauffeur before he'd bought May a car. However, I don't think that Lennon ever liked or trusted Mintz much. May, Jack Douglas, John Green, and Frederic Seaman have all talked about this.

It's Yoko ("I see men as basically assistants") from whom Mintz takes his orders.

It was Yoko, not John, who owned Elliot Mintz. It wasn't until Lennon had been killed that the name Mintz was known among Lennon fans -- because he had wriggled his way into various projects *purportedly* about John to issue pro-Yoko propaganda. I refer to the Rolling Stone article "The Private Years," the Playboy article "The Betrayal of John Lennon," the Coleman bio, the "Imagine: John Lennon" movie, etc.
